This is an Excel Deluxe Whistling T-Ket-L (kettle) made during the 1930's and 40's, it is Art Deco style with a red bakelite handle. This is a streamlined design that is quite difficult to find, very different from any tea kettle I've ever seen. It is in wonderful condition with normal wear, the red bakelite handle has no chips or cracks, it is marked on the top. The lid pops open when it boils, it is operated by a counter weight device inside the lid. This is a beauty that you may never see again, a wonderful addition to your vintage kitchen!

Adorably shaped Comet brand aluminum tea pot kettle, made in the USA.

All aluminum. Handle is painted black. The knob to the removable spout cover is black painted wood. This is a whistling tea pot.

Size is 7" across the diameter of the base and about 6 3/4" tall to the tip of the whistle.

The outside has some surface scratches and a few dents/dings which lend to its charm. There's a bit of paint loss at the very end of the handle. The spout cover is in great shape.The bottom is in great shape too. This tea pot is fully functioning as is. Could be shined up to a mirror shine with aluminum polish if desired.

Ready to grace your vintage RV/ retro stove; will add a lot of charm!

Ware-Well Kitchen Ware; Original gouache practice for home art course by Alma Rice,
Springfield, Massachusetts. c.1937…. 5.125" x 7".

In the Depression, many magazines and newspapers had ads for courses in home art instruction. This was done in response to one of those courses.

Perfect to frame for a vintage/country kitchen.

This vintage gouache will be sent backed with an acid-free board to keep it flat and in a clear archival sleeve to protect it inside the outer packing.

We pack VERY carefully!

No musty or stale odor whatsoever.

On Vacation

This is a vintage round "UFO SHAPED " ART DECO aluminum tea kettle with black bakelite handle. It is marked "Sears Maid of Honor Quality" on the top.

It has a gauge to measure how many cups are inside, but the float seems to be missing, and needs to be replaced. It is marked "0 2 4 6 8 cups, each cup 8 ounces" in front by the spout.

It whistles when the water boils. It is marked "Excel Mfg. Corp., Muncie, Ind., U.S. Pat. No. D-140754" on bottom, with minor wear. It measures approx. 9-1/2"x7".

Very cool design --- and in very nice condition. The bakelite handle is in nice condition.

They were part of old store signage. They were mounted with threaded rods that were attached to the sign. These rods have been removed. They all have scrapes and scratches. They could be painted if you do not like the distressed look.
These make great decorative items hanging on the wall or sitting on a shelf!

Vintage mail holder - this is made of metal, I have upcycled it with a coat of robin's egg blue paint for a fun shabby chic look! I put the original, yellowed label back because I like the vintage look, but you can put a new piece of card stock in it's place if you like, I have also left it blank so you can write whatever you'd like. This wall hanging mail holder measures 4 3/4" wide x 7" tall with a 2 1/2" wide opening. It looks very sweet holding vintage letters or flowers!

A fabulously Art Deco twin-scroll bookend designed for the Revere Metal Company in 1935. This iconic piece is constructed of chrome and black-painted wood, and is designed to hold books or other materials between the scrolls and the center black wooden structure.

Measures 5.25 " high by 8" across and is in good condition with corrosion in the chrome and a few chips in the black painted wood. I believe the base was once finished with felt to cover the screw heads on the underside of the base. Without the felt the bookend rocks very slightly from side to side.
