A happy little accident occurred when I sprayed the bottoms and sides of a set of tiles black. Turned out pretty awesome though and I began to offer sets like this on a regular basis. The black edges yield a uniform and modern look. I like them and hope you do too!
EIGHT VARNISHED SLATE COASTERS clear coated with a protective finish that enhances the natural beauty of the stone. Coasters measure approximately 4 x 4 x 1/2 inches. Size and appearance may vary slightly from picture with availability of materials and hand-craftsmanship.
You'll receive eight coasters total bundled in two sets of four. Carved with the design pictured. Bundled with ribbon and a tag describing the artist and product - ready for gift giving.
Measurements: Each tile is approximately 4 in. x 4 inches and typically 1/4 to1/2 inches thick.

HANDCRAFTED FROM START TO FINISH: My first slate carving was a set of coasters for a friend who was disenchanted with the mass-produced sets on the market. Now I've been carving tiles and making coaster set for folks all over the world for well over a decade! Each tile is given the same love and attention to detail as the first.
I personally select each stone for quality and purpose. The tile is sanded to remove sharp edges, and a protective finish is applied to the surface to enhance the rich color of the natural slate stone.
A unique rubberized foam is applied to the bottom. It's easily cleaned and dried in case of accidental spills, keeps the tile firmly in place, and excellent in protecting delicate furniture surfaces.
